The long-staying first-winter CASPIAN GULL was again on Hardmead Lake, Amwell, today, along with the drake GREATER SCAUP and redhead SMEW.
At Therfield Heath, both GREAT GREY SHRIKES still present, as well as 2 of the 4 wintering LONG-EARED OWLS, a SHORT-EARED OWL, 2 BARN OWLS, a male MERLIN and 50 CORN BUNTINGS.
The adult drake SMEW remains on Stockers Lake, where up to 5 GOOSANDER remain in the Colne Valley.
