29 April: SCAUP surprise at Tring and GARGANEY and BLACK TERN at Amwell

This handsome drake GREATER SCAUP spent the day off the new outflow at WILSTONE on Tuesday (29 April).....















Up to 4 HOBBIES and 2 ARCTIC TERNS too

Over at GREAT HARDMEAD LAKE (AMWELL), a pair of GARGANEY and summer-plumaged BLACK TERN were the highlights























Also at Amwell, 4 Mute Swans, Greylag Geese with young, 6 Gadwall, drake Wigeon, 8 Common Teal, 70 Tufted Duck, 7 Pochard, Little Egret, 66+ Sinensis, 2 Oystercatcher, 2 Common Redshank, 4 Little Ringed Plover (displaying), 8 Common Tern, Blackcap, 2 male Garden Warbler, 2 male Common Whitethroat, both Sedge & Reed Warbler and 2 Cetti's Warblers
