No less than 9 pairs of BLACK-NECKED GREBE are breeding/summering in the county this year, including this fabulous pair at the RSPB's premier London reserve of Rye Meads, in the Lea Valley. After the last egg hatched yesterday, there are now three baby grebes being fed outside the Gadwall Hide - the RSPB very kindly allowing access to the hide for viewing.
